The bird of mystery flew down

Broken wings had grounded him

Mud cementing fragile bones

Had done it's best to bring him home

But it needed more than this

A lot of time to gather breath

In the middle of it all

He would always hear the call

The bird of fantasy had to fly on

Otherwise he knew, his life would be done

If he didn't he knew his joy would be gone

As the bird took time to rest

He watched it all go by his nest

He knew he had to carry on

He knew that he would have to be strong

He could not lay down for long

They were waiting for a song

Feeding him with so many smiles

Following him for mile and miles

In the middle of it all

He would always hear them call

The bird he had some loyal friends

Who followed him on every wind

Feeding him with so many smiles

Following him for miles and miles

He could not lay down for long

They were waiting for a song
