Very sad to hear that Huw has passed on. As he said at the end of every set 'God Bless'.
This time it's God Bless you, Huw

Grown Men in a state of loss
Deepest condolances to family and friends at the passing of Huw. He has been one of our biggest inspirations for our Australian Hawkwind tribute band 'Sonic Attack'. An indication are the texts I've been receiving from mates in the 50's, such as 'tragic news', 'my hero is with us no longer', and "I'm watching Moonglum on YouTube and just feeling sad". We'll keep playing for you Huw.

So sorry to hear the bad news. Huw was a lovely guy, and (to be honest), though a great Hawkwind fan, I had no idea who he really was for years - just a good friend, and a lovely guy in the pub!
There is a nice picture of him and Tony Dangerfield on the wall of the Greyhound (Hendon) to this day.... no doubt they will rock on wherever they now are!
I just KNOW that death is not the end, merely a 'change of state'... and recalling old conversations, Huw knew that too, he had a very strong spiritual side...
Much love to Marion and all his family - you will see him again in time, I assure you! Bless him and all of you

I am so shocked and sorry to hear that Huw has passed away.
I am not a musician but I have loved and been greatly influenced by his work with Hawkwind and laterly his own - there are so many things that could be said but I am not eloquent enough to do them or him justice- suffice to say that my heart goes out to Marion and family - Thanks for many hours of great music Huw - god bless

Bless you Huw & Marion X
One of the very greatest British guitarists ever, such a kind and generous soul... i have such fond memories of hanging with Huw when I was just an annoying 15 year old kid learning the instrument and Huw not only became a major inspiration for many years but offered me such great advice and encouragement, a diamond of a geezer. Huge love to Marion & peace to Huw wherever you may be Xxx

Sad to hear the news. You were a great guitarist who I first saw in 1981. At least I was lucky enough to hear you play last year.
